Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Faroe Islands's goal looked a bit too open when Dane Friebe came free, but Andrias á Bø reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Faroe Islands's Andrias á Bø played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Hägglund in the 6th minute of play. Gärsnäs BF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fríðrikur Ellingsgaard ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fríðrikur Ellingsgaard made a great header on Faroe Islands's corner, it was just that Gärsnäs BF's Wang Cheng managed to reach the ball for a save. Gärsnäs BF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dane Friebe in the 16th minute. A nice corner shot did that Dane Friebe got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Andrias á Bø quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Wang Cheng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Poul Stanković, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Faroe Islands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fríðrikur Ellingsgaard in the 20th minute. After taking down the ball on Faroe Islands's corner Fríðrikur Ellingsgaard fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wang Cheng quite easily take care of the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Poul Stanković recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wang Cheng. Poul Stanković showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Wang Cheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Poul Stanković, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Faroe Islands's Nenad á Neystabø was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wang Cheng in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Wang Cheng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Poul Stanković in the 30th minute of the match. After 31 minutes Gärsnäs BF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fríðrikur Ellingsgaard who took care of the corner kick. In the 36th match minute, Gärsnäs BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Stark to maneuver through the defense. Wang Cheng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marni G. Hansen in the 39th minute of the match. The supporters of Faroe Islands booed when Gärsnäs BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tord Lang didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute George Hägglund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrias á Bø saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Poul Stanković to strike the kick off in the second half. When Fríðrikur Ellingsgaard came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Faroe Islands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fríðrikur Ellingsgaard couldn't finish the play. Gärsnäs BF's Sverker Ödman managed to work through Faroe Islands's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Sverker Ödman dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 68th minute George Hägglund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrias á Bø saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Óli á Borg struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Wang Cheng didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Faroe Islands. Faroe Islands were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gärsnäs BF for a fine match.
