The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elvir Langer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Motala AIF defense, Wilian Antunes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elvir Langer. The Motala AIF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elvir Langer should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Jovens Democratas MZC's Chico de Toledo got a free kick in the 31st minute. 35 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Marquinhos Diniz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kevin Stoffel. Motala AIF's Elvir Langer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Branco in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute Alois Gräber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marquinhos Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Motala AIF's Christoph Kolp got a free kick in the 39th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Wilian Antunes made the kick off in the second half. Jovens Democratas MZC's Marquinhos Diniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hanspeter Büchel in the 55th minute of play. Hanspeter Büchel hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Kevin Stoffel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Marquinhos Diniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeferson Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Marquinhos Diniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hanspeter Büchel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elvir Langer made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Wilian Antunes sent off a good shot on target. In the 74th minute, Mats Loose hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mats Loose kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Jeferson Santana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elvir Langer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Hanspeter Büchel came free, but Marquinhos Diniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeferson Santana came free in the 81st minute and tried to tip the ball over Elvir Langer, but to the joy of Motala AIF's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. A collision led to Jovens Democratas MZC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Zé Augusto Tinoco hit a great ball. Elvir Langer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulinho Fonseca in the 89th minute of play. Emanuel Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvir Langer having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alois Gräber in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marquinhos Diniz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Motala AIF's Elvir Langer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Motala AIF from getting a goal against them.

The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Jovens Democratas MZC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
