Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Benno Meves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 2-0 in the 8 minute of play. Calvin Kuckhoff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 11th minute of the match. Patrick Galvão had several of the Costa Rica's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 12 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Benito Sanz as he didn't even see the shot coming. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrick Galvão in the 16th minute. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Michael Weniger put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. The supporters of West Staines Massive booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patrick Galvãos short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Benito Sanz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Patrick Galvão's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Benito Sanz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Axel Tasis kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Patrick Galvão dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benito Sanz, 5-0. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Benno Meves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute Patrick Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Benito Sanz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 42 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Weniger came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th play minute Patrick Galvão came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Benito Sanz. 7-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. Patrick Galvão scored 8-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Patrick Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 56th minute Patrick Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Helmuth Follmann came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the West Staines Massive fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Helmuth Follmann couldn't finish the play. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patrick Galvão went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. After 63 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. In the 64th minute, Patrick Galvão made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-0. In the 68th minute Michael Weniger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Weniger, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. West Staines Massive were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Costa Rica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Helmuth Follmann took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Costa Rica's goalie and right to Dan Rowell. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Costa Rica's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute of the match Helmuth Follmann sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. In the 84th minute, Patrick Galvão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The West Staines Massive fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 12-0. 87 minutes into the game, Moses Bardhan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. West Staines Massive's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when West Staines Massive was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moses Bardhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the game, Dan Rowell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 13-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patrick Galvão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that West Staines Massive were the better team. West Staines Massive's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
