St. James Gate F.C.'s Brigid Rutherford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Pearse McWilliam got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gealan Cooney hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After 21 played minutes St. James Gate F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Gealan Cooney. 27 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of St. James Gate F.C.'s Brigid Rutherford. Brigid Rutherford was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 33rd minute, Joshua Secada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Pearse McWilliam sent off a good shot on target. Pearse McWilliam scored 1-3 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gealan Cooney's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gealan Cooney helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to St. James Gate F.C. getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Gealan Cooney hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 43rd minute of play forced St. James Gate F.C.'s goalkeeper Brigid Rutherford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barhart Costello in the 44th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pearse McWilliam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The St. James Gate F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Venezuela were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pearse McWilliam made a kick off. The supporters of Venezuela booed when St. James Gate F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hewney Kirby didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Barhart Costello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gealan Cooney kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, St. James Gate F.C.'s Gealan Cooney got a free kick in the 64th minute. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barhart Costello in the 70th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Pearse McWilliam notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 83 played minutes Tomas Illescas rounded St. James Gate F.C.'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-4. Brigid Rutherford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Salvador Gisbert got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Brigid Rutherford quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Venezuela eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
