Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Robby Woody's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jonathan Ferrant firmly grabbed it by the left post. Iwan Grocholski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Robby Woody could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. After 20 played minutes La Academia got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Mazuste. After having played for 29 minutes, Robby Woody managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Academia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robby Woody was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Venegas charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Venegas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 30 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. 32 minutes into the match, Gong Peng Bo notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robby Woody's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Robby Woody recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Robby Woody showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. If Gong Peng Bo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robby Woody stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Francisco Alberto Zañartu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 54 minutes, Robby Woody managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Academia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robby Woody was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hugo Porta made in the 57th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Aaron Mazuste however managed to control. In the 59th minute, Francisco Alberto Zañartu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Academia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. When La Academia's Robby Woody in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, La Academia's Iwan Grocholski got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Alberto Zañartu's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 80th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robby Woody in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 83rd match minute, La Academia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Porta to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the match, Eric Sillén had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eric Sillén was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After having played for 91 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 93 minutes, Eric Sillén made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. La Academia walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
