In the 7th match minute, Hurricanes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richarlison de Andrade to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Alain Lunsford got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 22 minutes into the game, Romain Corcoran recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Romain Corcoran showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 王亦俊 scored 2-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by 王亦俊 in the 30th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alain Lunsford made a great header on Hurricanes FC's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Venezuela! The referee gave Hurricanes FC a penalty, 35 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alain Lunsford, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 44th minute of play forced Hurricanes FC's goalkeeper Irvin Willoughby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Patricio Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patricio Costa made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Hurricanes FC's Romain Corcoran got a free kick in the 58th minute. If Richarlison de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irvin Willoughby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irvin Willoughby having to interfere. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. In the 75th match minute, Hurricanes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romain Corcoran to maneuver through the defense. In the 79thth minute of the game 王亦俊 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 86th minute of the game Alain Lunsford made a throw-in which Sherman Friedman played forward. The supporters of Hurricanes FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Hurricanes FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Sammie Egan hit a great ball. In the 94th minute 王亦俊 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Hurricanes FC had won, even though Venezuela had held more of the ball.
