After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Abel Carballo got a free kick in the 20th minute. Baldomiro Clementi in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Sanz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Baldomiro Clementi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Donato Alvarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 minutes, Eliseo Noboa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Bierunese players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Bierunese booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Noboa didn't get a good kick on the ball.
