In the 3rd minute Miguel Ángel Hvalica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Deportivo Álvarez's Eriberto Enol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Luque in the 4th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Miguel Ángel Hvalica reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ricardo Zorita. The goal made the score 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Álvarez's Adrian Lohitzun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Zorita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 17 minutes, Adrian Lohitzun made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 20thth minute of the game Juan Hvalica who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Club Deportivo Álvarez got a corner. El Salvador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Miguel Ángel Hvalica ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 24th minute Alexis Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Hvalica struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Ricardo Zorita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Deportivo Álvarez. Edgar Merski hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. A collision led to Club Deportivo Álvarez getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Can Ocakçı hit a great ball. After 38 minutes of play, Club Deportivo Álvarez's Adrian Lohitzun made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Zorita was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alexis Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Álvarez's Adrian Lohitzun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Zorita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Ángel Hvalica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

After some careless play in the El Salvador defense, Adrian Lohitzun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. After 60 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Abram Luque. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Álvarez's Adrian Lohitzun got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 64th minute Alexis Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Zorita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adrian Lohitzun's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. In the 68th minute Roberto Enriquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Miguel Ángel Hvalica had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Ángel Hvalica was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Ricardo Zorita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 77 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Lohitzun came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Hvalica, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 83 minutes into the game, Juan Hvalica cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Ricardo Zorita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Club Deportivo Álvarez made a substitution. Ilmar Helemäe replaced Osvaldo Oihan. The audience was convinced that Juan Hvalica's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Zorita was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Club Deportivo Álvarez's Miguel Ángel Hvalica was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ricardo Zorita in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Mateo Leguizamo kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After 95 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Abram Luque. Ricardo Zorita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eloy Loramendi went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Club Deportivo Álvarez's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
