Spectators: 10300 (Terracing: 7725, Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Thananiti Cheewawipat kicked off to start the match. Thailand's Sitthachat Jampeehom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Thailand from getting a goal against them. 8 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Thananiti Cheewawipat came free, but Manuel Campens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Ratthapong Kongkaew in the 13th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Belgium's Hamza Yavaş. After having played for 19 minutes, Chiratorn Wongsanam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thailand's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chiratorn Wongsanam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ratthapong Kongkaew made in the 21st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Sontaya Peerapattana however managed to control. Manuel Campens came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Thailand's Watee Hangpit. But to his dismay, Watee Hangpit quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Watee Hangpit in the 30th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Manuel Campens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Belgium's Mbaka Mbolu in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Thailand's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mbaka Mbolu in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sitthachat Jampeehom prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 42nd minute Belgium were awarded a corner. Leopold Van den Paenhuysen went to the cornerflag to take it. Chiratorn Wongsanam hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Sitthachat Jampeehom was a little too slow when Mbaka Mbolu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mbaka Mbolu in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sitthachat Jampeehom saved Thailand from getting behind. In the 63rd minute, Thailand's Thananiti Cheewawipat dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Thailand's Wonsakon Choonama was substituted for Sontaya Peerapattana. Thailand made a substitution. Thananiti Jaiyen replaced Ratthapong Kongkaew. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mbaka Mbolu in the 68th minute of play forced Thailand's goalkeeper Sitthachat Jampeehom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 68 minutes, Mbaka Mbolu made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Thailand's Sitthachat Jampeehom tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 72nd minute Mbaka Mbolu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sitthachat Jampeehom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Mbaka Mbolu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sitthachat Jampeehom was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. After 81 minutes of play, Belgium's Mbaka Mbolu made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sitthachat Jampeehom was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thailand's Pasachai Jitjai was substituted for Thananiti Cheewawipat. Manuel Campens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pasachai Jitjai, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Sitthachat Jampeehom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafik Oliwa in the 88th minute of the match. Chiratorn Wongsanam made in the 92nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Thanan Javaus. With a little luck, Belgium's Manuel Campens got control of the ball when Pasachai Jitjai tried to sneak it across the goal line. Belgium's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
