Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Axel Tasis kicked off to start the match. The supporters of C.A.Franzoi booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 minutes Costa Rica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ovidio Ignatius who took care of the corner kick. Ovidio Ignatius made a great header on C.A.Franzoi's corner, it was just that Costa Rica's Benito Sanz managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 14th minute, Raúl Moreno reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 1-0. 19 minutes into the game, Raúl Moreno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A.Franzoi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. In the 19th match minute, C.A.Franzoi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raúl Moreno to maneuver through the defense. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Wladyslaw Rojewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute Raúl Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Puig in the 25th minute of play forced C.A.Franzoi's goalkeeper Wladyslaw Rojewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Efrain Moruga's late challenge caught a C.A.Franzoi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Efrain Moruga helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ovidio Ignatius in the 29th minute. Lautaro Puig's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wladyslaw Rojewski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aldo Apolloni. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raúl Moreno in the 35th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Desiderio Aballe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Desiderio Aballe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raúl Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A.Franzoi the free kick. After 47 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raúl Moreno made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wladyslaw Rojewski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raúl Moreno went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Ovidio Ignatius hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Raúl Moreno struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A.Franzoi. When Desiderio Aballe came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the C.A.Franzoi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Desiderio Aballe couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute, Raúl Moreno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A.Franzoi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raúl Moreno's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Wladyslaw Rojewski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Tasis in the 84th minute. Damaso Madeo hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Costa Rica's attentive Lautaro Puig managed to snatch the ball when Nuno Trevisan made a throw-in in the 90th minute of the game. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Aballe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
