Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Evert Vennegoor started the match with the kick off. Heintje Heinen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ed Wilhelm having to make a save. Guus Harmsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guus Harmsen got free with Ed Wilhelm in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ed Wilhelm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Dijkman in the 7th minute of play. Freek Wolf made in the 12th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Netherlands's Eelco Sloothaak. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Ed Wilhelm successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 15th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Caseys Dreamteam 2's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ernst Melis ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Caseys Dreamteam 2's goalie and right to Guus Harmsen. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Caseys Dreamteam 2's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Guus Harmsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ed Wilhelm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Dijkman, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Guus Harmsen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Caseys Dreamteam 2's zone, Guus Heijen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ed Wilhelm came out of the goal and Guus Heijen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guus Harmsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Caseys Dreamteam 2's Ed Wilhelm got control of the ball when Guus Harmsen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guus Harmsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ed Wilhelm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Caseys Dreamteam 2 got a freekick which was hit by Ben Luikens. In the 49th minute, Guus Harmsen fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ed Wilhelm, passed just outside the right post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guus Harmsen to make the kick off. Caseys Dreamteam 2's Ed Wilhelm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guus Harmsen in the 56th minute of play. Ed Wilhelm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guus Harmsen in the 57th minute of play. In the 62nd minute of the game Freek Wolf made a throw-in which Matias Abadie played forward. Tadej Pogačar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evert Vennegoor in the 63rd minute of the match. After 64 minutes of play, Netherlands's Guus Harmsen made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ed Wilhelm was left in no man's land by his defense there! 68 minutes into the match, Guus Harmsen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ed Wilhelm. Caseys Dreamteam 2's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guus Harmsen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. When Freek Wolf fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caseys Dreamteam 2's protests and gave Freek Wolf a yellow card for diving instead. 85 minutes into the match, Caseys Dreamteam 2's goal looked a bit too open when Guus Heijen came free, but Ed Wilhelm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 90th minute of the match Freek Wolf completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Freek Wolf a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Caseys Dreamteam 2's Freek Wolf got a free kick in the 91st minute. Nick Heesen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ed Wilhelm having to make a save. Nick Heesen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ed Wilhelm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Netherlands fully deserved thier win.
