Christophe Rau made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christophe Rau. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Christophe Rau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Talenti Roma Calcio fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Talenti Roma Calcio's Jeremias Mark looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Talenti Roma Calcio's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Celso Bibiano in the 34th minute. After taking down the ball on Talenti Roma Calcio's corner Celso Bibiano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. In the 36th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christophe Rau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christophe Rau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 37th minute of play. A collision led to Talenti Roma Calcio getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Felice Scurti hit a great ball. Christophe Rau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Mark came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christophe Rau having to interfere. Christophe Rau made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 62nd minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Buğrahan Vecih, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 64 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Celso Bibiano who took care of the corner kick. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Christophe Rau in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christophe Rau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Christophe Rau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 73rd minute of play. Buğrahan Vecih hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeremias Mark's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Christophe Rau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 83rd minute. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celso Bibiano's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celso Bibiano helped the player get up and apologised. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Talenti Roma Calcio to leave the ground with a draw.
