The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kajar Püss in the 14th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Grimório's Kajar Püss got a free kick in the 17th minute. Kusti Jaas's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kusti Jaas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th match minute, Grimório was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kusti Jaas to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th match minute, Grimório was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tõnis Kaldvee to maneuver through the defense. After 24 played minutes Grimório got a freekick which was hit by Kusti Jaas. Renaud Van de Put hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Montenegro in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wawrzyniec Niedziela saved Grimório from getting behind. In the 37thth minute of the game Alo Ülipikk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wawrzyniec Niedziela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kajar Püss, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tõnis Kaldvee recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

53 minutes into the match, Grimório's goalkeeper Wawrzyniec Niedziela had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kajar Püss in the 59th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grimório's Kajar Püss got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alo Ülipikk in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alo Ülipikk in the 69th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Kajar Püss came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Grimório fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kajar Püss couldn't finish the play. Grimório's Jack Walroth was substituted for Tõnis Kaldvee. Grimório made a substitution. Olavi Normak replaced Ragnar Lemmik. Konrad Värnik hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Joel Lüüs kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Grimório's Wawrzyniec Niedziela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Grimório from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kajar Püss in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Kajar Püss got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Grimório getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Jack Walroth hit a great ball. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
