When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Pardo made a kick off. Paraguay's attentive Jaime Pardo managed to snatch the ball when Lilko Shutilov made a throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Graziani Lusa in the 59th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Graziani Lusa came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Paraguay's zone, Graziani Lusa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal and Graziani Lusa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Graziani Lusa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jaime Pardo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cesar Ortiz having to make a save. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Raich in the 92nd minute of play. After 94th play minutes Graziani Lusa shot 10-0, a short shot which went by Jacobo Nores and just under the crossbar into goal.
