In the 11th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Zisis Vourlis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Justin Groth tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Timos Vrachnos hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Πυργετός Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Zisis Vourlis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The tension between the Πυργετός Fc and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. 45 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zisis Vourlis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wit Zapolski in the 51st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Justin Groth in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Valer Trifu hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. A collision led to Πυργετός Fc getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Timos Vrachnos hit a great ball. Felix Montenegro came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zisis Vourlis could save by the left post. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 61st minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zisis Vourlis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Justin Groth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Justin Groth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 66 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Zisis Vourlis managed to make a qualified save. Πυργετός Fc's players were relieved. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 67th minute, which Zisis Vourlis however easily saved by the left post. In the 74th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zisis Vourlis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 played minutes Πυργετός Fc got a freekick which was hit by Timos Vrachnos. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Zisis Vourlis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Zisis Vourlis in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wit Zapolski in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Zisis Vourlis managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Zisis Vourlis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. 91 minutes into the game, Wit Zapolski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 95th minute, Felix Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
