The supporters of Costa Rica booed when AFC FUSION was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Ishmael didn't get a good kick on the ball. Axel Tasis, 4 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Lorien in the 7th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carmelo Brais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the game, Axel Tasis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC FUSION the free kick. After 12 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Lorien's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Alcocer in the 21st minute of play forced AFC FUSION's goalkeeper Carolo Isidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Puig in the 27th minute of play forced AFC FUSION's goalkeeper Carolo Isidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Carmelo Brais managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC FUSION's supporters rose to their feet, but Carmelo Brais was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd match minute, AFC FUSION was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Lando to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Carmelo Brais got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Axel Tasis notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of AFC FUSION's Carolo Isidor. Carolo Isidor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marco Lorien to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Ishmael in the 56th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 57th minute. Carolo Isidor was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Eliseo Noboa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eliseo Noboa really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. In the 71st minute of the match Carmelo Brais sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Lorien in the 73rd minute of play. In the 85th minute, Aaron Alcocer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AFC FUSION's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Axel Tasis scored to the left of an out of position Carolo Isidor, making the score, 0-3. Carmelo Brais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
