Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 11 played minutes Valette Stars got a freekick which was hit by Armand Plaza. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 12th minute of play forced Valette Stars's goalkeeper Adrien Tanneau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrien Tanneau having to interfere. In the 28th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrien Tanneau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Adrien Tanneau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Valette Stars's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrien Tanneau came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute Guillaume Chaine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Theo Chassot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valette Stars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. After a rather tough play, Valette Stars's Theo Chassot got a free kick in the 45th minute. Maurice Crochard's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maurice Crochard helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th match minute, Valette Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurice Crochard to maneuver through the defense. The wind increased when Guillaume Chaine made the kick off in the second half. Nelson Nogueira's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Mathys Chassot charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mathys Chassot the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Mexico booed when Valette Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oğuzkan Kamuran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Mancebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adrien Tanneau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Leonardo Leoz kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute of the match Oğuzkan Kamuran shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Valette Stars's attentive Mathys Chassot managed to snatch the ball when Leonardo Leoz made a throw-in in the 66th minute of the game. Adrien Tanneau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabian Walme hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Valette Stars's Adrien Tanneau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 84th minute of play. After 85 minutes Valette Stars's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Alberto Tafalla got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-2. 86 minutes into the match. Adrien Tanneau made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
