Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Grzegorz Szamotulski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute of the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wagner Kill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Andino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Grzegorz Szamotulski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Grzegorz Szamotulski came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Luis Andino. But to his dismay, Luis Andino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of play forced Diablofaryd F.C.'s goalkeeper Grzegorz Szamotulski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Grzegorz Szamotulski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Grzegorz Szamotulski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Julio Vera was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Gunnar Deisler capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gunnar Deisler really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Ozzy Osbourne kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 38 minutes in the game, Wagner Kill fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaias Oso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wagner Kill stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gunnar Deisler in the 50th minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wagner Kill in the 52nd minute of play. With a little luck, Diablofaryd F.C.'s Grzegorz Szamotulski got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Diablofaryd F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Mena didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 62 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. 63 minutes into the match, Diablofaryd F.C.'s Benicio Maurin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 73rd minute, Antonio Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benicio Maurin might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benicio Maurin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 75th minute Wagner Kill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Grzegorz Szamotulski made a huge save. 79 minutes into the game, Gunnar Deisler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Diablofaryd F.C.'s Gunnar Deisler. But to his dismay, Gunnar Deisler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The Diablofaryd F.C. support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
