After 3 played minutes, Honduras's Luca Espinar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ruy Montenegro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Honduras reached it. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gernando Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Amadeu do Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Amadeu do Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gernando Azevedo in the 12th minute of play. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Luís Paulo do Nascimento in the 14 minute of the game. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gernando Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gernando Azevedo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gernando Azevedo in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. After 21 minutes of play, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Amadeu do Nascimento made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th minute, Gernando Azevedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Andes FC - FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Gernando Azevedo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Lautaro Navarro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Arjen Robben got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lautaro Navarro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gernando Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Gernando Azevedo in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 37 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gernando Azevedo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arjen Robben in the 40th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Gernando Azevedo sped through Honduras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gernando Azevedo in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
