Serginho Busquets kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Benjamin Lara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patricio Ugutz. Barcellos Mineiro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benjamin Lara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 26 played minutes Joinville Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Amauri Vieira. Dale Dolar came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and A.J. 韩文海 could save by the left post. The supporters of Barcellos Mineiro FC booed when Joinville Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júnior Zanette didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Patricio Ugutz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Lara in the 38th minute of play. If Amerigo Gervasi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dale Dolar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 82ndth minute of the game Jorge Carrascal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Joinville Esporte Clube's A.J. 韩文海 was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 84th minute Victor Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Ugutz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Joinville Esporte Clube booed when Barcellos Mineiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Meertens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Ugutz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júnior Zanette in the 94th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Joinville Esporte Clube players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Barcellos Mineiro FC.
