Rodriguinho Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Bierhoff in the 34th minute of play. In the 38th minute ADM Taquaras were awarded a corner. Áron Bódog went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 43rd minute, Oliver Bierhoff left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ADM Taquaras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1.

With a little luck, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa got control of the ball when Radowit Dziuma tried to sneak it across the goal line. Áron Bódog kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. ATHLETICO PRaiano made a substitution. Heitor Maldini replaced Betão Marquez. After some careless play in the ADM Taquaras defense, Deilmison van Basten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeremias Moreno. The ADM Taquaras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeremias Moreno should have stopped the shot. Rodriguinho Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denílson Tepedino in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 96th minute of the match ADM Taquaras got a corner. ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Áron Bódog ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tales De Mileto was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
