Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Elpidio Francis kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Carballal. Joaquin Gayoso was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Esteban Iztal. 6 minutes into the game, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquin Gayoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Olle Snell in the 10 minute of the game. In the 13th minute, Elpidio Francis made a precise shot to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Arnaldo Gabon kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Elpidio Francis took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Elpidio Francis scored 4-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Dalmu in the 30th minute. The audience was convinced that Elpidio Francis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. If André Monclús had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 35th of the match, Elpidio Francis tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Joaquin Gayoso got in the way and made a wonderful save. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Elpidio Francis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Branislav Velchevski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elpidio Francis took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 71st minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Francis, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Elpidio Francis managed to get in a good position for a shot. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters rose to their feet, but Elpidio Francis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Uruguay booed when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Francis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elpidio Francis scored 7-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Camilo Franco's late challenge caught a ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Franco helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Franco to maneuver through the defense. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
