The throw-in from Toralf Hell in the 17th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. In the 18th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andriy Lunin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If David Elodio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luz Tejedor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alonso Berganza made in the 42nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Toralf Hell. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Mina to maneuver through the defense. The SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Elodio to make the kick off. David Elodio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Andriy Lunin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 60th minute of play. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Elodio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andriy Lunin made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. Toralf Hell made in the 74th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Steffen Michalsky immediately put the ball in play. In the 85th match minute, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henning Fink to maneuver through the defense. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. After 86 played minutes SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. got a freekick which was hit by Henning Fink. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Andriy Lunin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. from getting a goal against them. Andriy Lunin was a little too slow when Rafael Gallo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 0-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Peru had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
