Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Doctor Quinn made the kick off which started today's match. Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Jânio de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Gisbert during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 11th minute. Daniel Zorita succeeded in the game's 14th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Jânio de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camilo Gisbert, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doctor Quinn got free with Julio Vera in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doctor Quinn in the 25th minute of play. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jânio de Barros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Jânio de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 32nd minute. A nice corner shot did that Cristian Sancho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jânio de Barros quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cristian Sancho spun around in front of the goal 37 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Ballybunion Celtic F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. José-Francisco Virues didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Jânio de Barros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jânio de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Bektaş Ali Şencan hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 54 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Luis Andino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jânio de Barros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jânio de Barros having to make a save. After 58 minutes of play, Ecuador's Luis Andino made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jânio de Barros was left in no man's land by his defense there! Horaţiu Bercea hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Ciarán Tierney was substituted for Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay. A collision led to Ballybunion Celtic F.C. getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Horaţiu Bercea hit a great ball. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jânio de Barros having to interfere. Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Alfredinho Teixeira got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doctor Quinn in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Ciarán Tierney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciarán Tierney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s goalkeeper Jânio de Barros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jânio de Barros having to make a save. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ballybunion Celtic F.C. throughout the match.
