Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Villarreal in the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute of the match DREAN TEAM got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jonathan Diaz ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jose Correa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Villarreal in the 33rd minute of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Honorato Albornoz hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Ivan Villarreal struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DREAN TEAM. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Felipe Posam in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by DREAN TEAM's Roberto Silva. But to his dismay, Roberto Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 56 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. When Roberto Silva came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the DREAN TEAM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto Silva couldn't finish the play. In the 67th minute, Ivan Villarreal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Villarreal came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Felipe Posam was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Silva in the 79th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute, Ivan Villarreal made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Felipe Posam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Villarreal in the 86th minute of play. DREAN TEAM's Felipe Posam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save DREAN TEAM from getting a goal against them. After 88 minutes DREAN TEAM's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Tomas Illescas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Felipe Posam quite easily take care of the ball. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 94th minute of the game Jonathan Diaz made a throw-in which Roberto Silva played forward.
