Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Kinsen in the 6th minute of play forced Memphis Grizzlies's goalkeeper Gez Winship to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Manuel Ekain's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gez Winship was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. The corner led Alzaga FC's Manuel Ekain to fire away a dangerous shot which Gez Winship despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a little luck, Alzaga FC's Conan Ledesma got control of the ball when José Luis Cuciuffo tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Natalio Elivareo fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alzaga FC's protests and gave Natalio Elivareo a yellow card for diving instead. After 12 played minutes Alzaga FC got a freekick which was hit by Natalio Elivareo. 14 minutes in the game Apolo Cordarryl did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Alberto Fernández. Ian Webb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Luis Cuciuffo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conan Ledesma read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Dave Fleming got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Conan Ledesma quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Memphis Grizzlies's Gez Winship played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Kinsen in the 23rd minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Manuel Ekain cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gez Winship was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 33 minutes into the match, Memphis Grizzlies's José Luis Cuciuffo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Conan Ledesma narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Memphis Grizzlies's Franky Van Der Elst slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Conan Ledesma. That made the score 1-1 after 45 minutes of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Natalio Elivareo was the one to do the kick off. Ian Webb made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Alzaga FC's Nestor Luix. Michael Kellaway made in the 54th minute of the game a quick throw-in and José Luis Cuciuffo immediately put the ball in play. Gez Winship showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Ekain, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The supporters of Memphis Grizzlies booed when Alzaga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Fernández didn't get a good kick on the ball. Franz Henry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 72 minutes of play, Memphis Grizzlies's Franz Henry made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Conan Ledesma was left in no man's land by his defense there! 76 minutes into the match, Alzaga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Franz Henry came free, but Conan Ledesma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Conan Ledesma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franz Henry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute Peter Wiltshire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conan Ledesma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in Dave Fleming almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Alzaga FC's Conan Ledesma did a great save. If Emanuel Kinsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 92nd minute Peter Wiltshire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conan Ledesma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paolo Platon made in the 95th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Memphis Grizzlies's Ken Blackwater. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Memphis Grizzlies fans cheered their team off the field, for while Alzaga FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
