In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for Memphis Grizzlies. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Conan Ledesma. 0-2. The supporters of Alzaga FC booed when Memphis Grizzlies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dave Fleming didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Memphis Grizzlies's zone, Martin Indartsu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gez Winship came out of the goal and Martin Indartsu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martin Indartsu to strike the kick off in the second half. Emanuel Kinsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Gez Winship tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Martin Indartsu came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Alzaga FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Indartsu couldn't finish the play. 58 minutes into the game, Michael Kellaway was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Memphis Grizzlies's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alzaga FC the free kick. After 58 played minutes Memphis Grizzlies got a freekick which was hit by Michael Kellaway. In the 59th minute, Martin Indartsu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gez Winship took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Indartsu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, José Luis Cuciuffo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Memphis Grizzlies's supporters rose to their feet, but José Luis Cuciuffo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conan Ledesma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alzaga FC's Paolo Platon was substituted for Apolo Cordarryl. Memphis Grizzlies's Franz Henry was substituted for José Luis Cuciuffo. Gez Winship showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Indartsu in the 74th minute of the match. Franz Henry was extremely unlucky when he, in the 75th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Memphis Grizzlies would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
