In the 11th minute, Eliseu Alagoano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gez Winship was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. A collision led to Memphis Grizzlies getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Garry Nancy hit a great ball. Gez Winship took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseu Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gez Winship showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseu Alagoano in the 32nd minute of the match. João Vítor Guimarães made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Franky Van Der Elst sent off a good shot on target. Dave Fleming kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. When Ian Webb fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Memphis Grizzlies's protests and gave Ian Webb a yellow card for diving instead. When Eliseu Alagoano came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the 卡納里尼奧 FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseu Alagoano couldn't finish the play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eliseu Alagoano to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee gave Memphis Grizzlies a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of 卡納里尼奧 FC's João Vítor Guimarães. 1-2. Gez Winship made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Guedes in the 68th minute of play. 卡納里尼奧 FC's Severino da Cunha was substituted for Sidnei Dionísio. After 80 played minutes, 卡納里尼奧 FC's Abel Vidal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gez Winship came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in 卡納里尼奧 FC reached it. Franz Henry struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. João Vítor Guimarães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Memphis Grizzlies. During the 83rd minute of the match Ian Webb completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent.
