The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Abel Neron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicanor Macerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Oflador FC 2003's Alfredo Videl got a free kick in the 6th minute. Placido Cordarell, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Eusebio Lehoi struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Esteve Espiridion didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Balvanera. Nicanor Macerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Abel Neron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th match minute, Oflador FC 2003 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cayetano Aurken to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Leandro Cordarin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 31 minutes into the game, Oflador FC 2003's Nicanor Macerio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abel Neron made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Deportivo Balvanera's Abel Neron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Macerio in the 35th minute of play. Jose Aritza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Esteve Espiridion made a huge save. After 38 played minutes Deportivo Balvanera got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Chaime. Abel Neron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicanor Macerio in the 39th minute of play. In the 43rd match minute, Deportivo Balvanera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Chaime to maneuver through the defense. When Ruperto Erlantz came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Oflador FC 2003 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruperto Erlantz couldn't finish the play. After having played for 46 minutes, Leandro Cordarin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Balvanera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Cordarin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute, Jaime Misael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernando Gonzo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Fernando Gonzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the match, Nicanor Macerio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Abel Neron, 0-2. When Fernando Gonzo fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oflador FC 2003's protests and gave Fernando Gonzo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Deportivo Balvanera booed when Oflador FC 2003 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Gonzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Oflador FC 2003's zone, Eusebio Lehoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteve Espiridion came out of the goal and Eusebio Lehoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deportivo Balvanera made a substitution. Rene Restu replaced Ramiro Quin. Eusebio Lehoi struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Esteve Espiridion didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Balvanera. In the 71stth minute of the game Nicanor Macerio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Balvanera's Abel Neron was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Deportivo Balvanera's goal looked a bit too open when Nicanor Macerio came free, but Abel Neron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florencio Paz charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Florencio Paz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jose Aritza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute, Alfredo Videl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes into the match, Oflador FC 2003's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Cordarin came free, but Esteve Espiridion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Deportivo Balvanera booed when Oflador FC 2003 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Raymon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Placido Cordarell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Balvanera's supporters rose to their feet, but Placido Cordarell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esteve Espiridion breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Oflador FC 2003 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
