Dan Wennerqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 6th minute of the match. Anthony Alvarado hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Soroca F.C.'s Gustavo Tartalo got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dan Wennerqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 17th minute of play. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Adrián Espadas sent off a good shot on target. Dan Wennerqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 26th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrián Espadas. In the 36th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Wennerqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Dan Wennerqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adrián Espadas was the one to do the kick off. Amador Venceslao hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute of the match, Milagros Fraga got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dan Wennerqvist was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Răzvan Necula in the 62nd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Soroca F.C.'s Cássio Zonta quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Soroca F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eliseo Mina ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Peru's Eliseo Mina to fire away a dangerous shot which Dan Wennerqvist despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Soroca F.C.'s goalkeeper Dan Wennerqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milagros Fraga. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peru played a much better game than Soroca F.C. and deserved their victory. The Soroca F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
