When Moises Fernandino fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Salvador's protests and gave Moises Fernandino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Fernandino to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Luis Rubio hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anatoliy Shestakov. In the 30thth minute of the game Stig Asklöv who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Marko Håkansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita got control of the ball when Anatoliy Shestakov tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anatoliy Shestakov was the one to do the kick off. Luis Rubio's late challenge caught a Bollpojkarnas BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luis Rubio helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bollpojkarnas BK booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anatoliy Shestakov in the 55th minute of play. In the 59th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abram Luque to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anatoliy Shestakov in the 60th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Salvador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lucas Stenström was slow to take the kick. During this time Bollpojkarnas BK's players had a chance to rest. Marcelinho Carioca scored 3-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 66 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Anatoliy Shestakov came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the El Salvador defense, Anatoliy Shestakov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino got a free kick in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anatoliy Shestakov in the 81st minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Anatoliy Shestakov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bollpojkarnas BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. After 85 minutes of play, Bollpojkarnas BK's Anatoliy Shestakov made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Zorita was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anatoliy Shestakov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 92 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Abram Luque. Marcelinho Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Bollpojkarnas BK players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
