The corner ended in Kay Oppenheim almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Peru's Rolando Noboa did a great save. 24 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Lester Serre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lester Serre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Lester Serre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 27th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The throw-in from Ryszard Luty in the 51st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Milagros Fraga could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Lester Serre however easily saved by the left post. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Teixeira's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. 72 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's goalkeeper Lester Serre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Baltasar Bartoleme was substituted for Frank Teixeira. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Venancio Piorno was substituted for Lorenzo Jerrold. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Leonides Rosio was substituted for Elias Honrio. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Camilo Mouricio got a free kick in the 77th minute. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Baltasar Bartoleme hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in San Lorenzo de Sarandi's zone, Rafael Gallo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lester Serre came out of the goal and Rafael Gallo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. San Lorenzo de Sarandi were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Peru for a fine match.
