Nebi Tokyürek who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Thiago Pliego when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nebi Tokyürek in the 29th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xu Yi Lei read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Hüseyin Rahmi Uçanok's late challenge caught a Chile's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hüseyin Rahmi Uçanok helped the player get up and apologised. City Friseur Wuppertal's Cem Yılğıralp was substituted for Mehmet Oğuz Bayramoğlu. The Chile players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
