After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 3rd minute. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 7th minute, Nelsinho Koehler left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MAZER SAF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. With 10 minutes on the clock, Amadeu Senna commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave Venezuela a penalty, 11 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tomas Illescas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of MAZER SAF's Adriano Carneiro. 1-1. Patricio Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adriano Carneiro having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 17th minute of play forced MAZER SAF's goalkeeper Adriano Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nelsinho Koehler received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Nelsinho Koehler slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 18th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nelsinho Koehler got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 25th minute. Humberto Ramos made in the 29th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas. After having played for 31 minutes, Dedê Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MAZER SAF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dedê Mota was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Nelsinho Koehler came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Nelsinho Koehler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when MAZER SAF's Nelsinho Koehler shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-1 in the ordered_time% minute. A collision led to MAZER SAF getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Rodrigo Garro hit a great ball. Nelsinho Koehler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nelsinho Koehler was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, MAZER SAF's Magno Maranhense got a free kick in the 51st minute. 53 minutes into the match, MAZER SAF's goalkeeper Adriano Carneiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. MAZER SAF's Adriano Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 55th minute of play. Nelsinho Koehler took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nelsinho Koehler in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Adriano Carneiro made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. After 87 played minutes, MAZER SAF's Beraldo Soberano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MAZER SAF reached it. In the 90th minute Dudu Berger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
