In the 11th minute, Ecuador's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Arquímedes Ladio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeremias Cordario having to make a save. Jeremias Cordario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 40 minutes, Domingo Librado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arquímedes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingo Librado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Arquímedes's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremias Cordario came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Jeremias Cordario made a huge save. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arquímedes Ladio's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Ramon Abila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. When Arquímedes's Arquímedes Ladio in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arquímedes Ladio in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 78 minutes into the match, Arquímedes's goalkeeper Jeremias Cordario had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Librado in the 83rd minute of play. Jeremias Cordario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 84th minute of play. Enrico Petrini hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Arquímedes's Jeremias Cordario got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jeremias Cordario. That made the score 1-1 after 89 minutes of play. Matias Fresco hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Xove Castrejana kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. A collision led to Arquímedes getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Danilo Olayo hit a great ball.
