Tony Pacheco was extremely unlucky when he, in the 7th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Thiago Pliego successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. New England Minas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Glen Conklin in the 10th minute. A nice corner shot did that Glen Conklin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thiago Pliego quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When New England Minas's Tio Lio in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chile's goalie prevented a goal. New England Minas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Glen Conklin in the 19th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeremy Nicholas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 37thth minute of the game Tony Pacheco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chile's Thiago Pliego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Pacheco in the 39th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeremy Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeremy Nicholas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tio Lio to strike the kick off in the second half. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. New England Minas's Alperen Öksüz was substituted for Tio Lio. New England Minas's Xiao Bang Kun was substituted for Jörgen Frohm. A sloppy throw-in by Conny Tingberg in the 70th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Chile's Felix Garrido. In the 71st minute of the game Conny Tingberg made a throw-in which Edgardo Silva played forward. The supporters of New England Minas booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Pozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alperen Öksüz in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 74th minute of the match Glen Conklin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thiago Pliego skillfully saved the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeremy Nicholas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alperen Öksüz in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 84th minute Francisco Carballar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xiao Bang Kun struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Thiago Pliego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New England Minas. 87 minutes into the game, Alperen Öksüz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Thiago Pliego was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
