The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Salvador Gisbert a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 18th match minute, Ezber Bozan FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hayati Uğurhan to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hayati Uğurhan during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Ezber Bozan FK were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
