Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernard Sierocki in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Paulo Linhares came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Teodoro Jacinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of São Paulo da Floresta booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Dênis Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Teodoro Jacinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 19th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodoro Jacinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when São Paulo da Floresta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo José Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. São Paulo da Floresta's Teodoro Jacinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 38th minute of play. Paulo José Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The supporters of São Paulo da Floresta booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Bernard Sierocki hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the match, São Paulo da Floresta's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Teodoro Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to São Paulo da Floresta getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Paulo José Lucas hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 61 minutes into the match, São Paulo da Floresta's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Teodoro Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to São Paulo da Floresta getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Sandu Ţipirig hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teodoro Jacinto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Teodoro Jacinto in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Agustín Saelices blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teodoro Jacinto having to make a save. The supporters of São Paulo da Floresta booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. São Paulo da Floresta's Luís Paulo Linhares got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luís Paulo Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Paulo Linhares in the 96th minute of play. The São Paulo da Floresta fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
