If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 余树默 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as 【粤】佛山黄飞鸿龙狮队's Kurt Rolandsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-1 after 39 minutes of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 87th minute Vágner Britto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Vágner Britto notched a goal, 5-3, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 姜光勇 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 94th minute of play.
