Julio Vera had in the 86thth minute some difficulties stopping Ciprian Sângeorzan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. With 88 minutes on the clock, Eric Ţirpescu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 87 minutes into the game, one of ASF BAIA MARE -MM-:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Rosendo Seguinus, was totally fooled by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita, who 89 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ASF BAIA MARE -MM- throughout the match.
