Doffes Damer's Greid Tinsmith played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santino Seco in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Doffes Damer's Knut Utfal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Abram Sarmiento sped through Doffes Damer's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Greid Tinsmith. Pedro Manzanares was a little too slow when Ronaldo Cristi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 4-2. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pier Kopacz in the 30th minute of the match. Greid Tinsmith showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldo Cristi got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute, Ronaldo Cristi made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. Colombia's attentive Orlando Tafalla managed to snatch the ball when Thiago Alcântara made a throw-in in the 37th minute of the game. In the 46th minute Knut Utfal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Knut Utfal in the 46th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-2 at half-time.

Doffes Damer's Greid Tinsmith proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Doffes Damer from getting a goal against them. Greg Barrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doffes Damer made a substitution. Inge Braa replaced Ronaldo Cristi. In the 63rd minute Doffes Damer were awarded a corner. Göran Vedholm went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Göran Vedholm got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pedro Manzanares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. 74 minutes into the match, Doffes Damer's Inge Braa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Doffes Damer's goalkeeper Greid Tinsmith, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 84 minutes into the game, Doffes Damer's Inge Braa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The corner led Colombia's Luis Cazalla to fire away a dangerous shot which Greid Tinsmith despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Doffes Damer's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
