Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Bareiro in the 18th minute of play. Internet XAire's Feliks Osowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 81st minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Nacho Villarroel came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Internet XAire's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. The supporters of Mexico booed when Internet XAire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Garaile didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Moises Sugoi fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Internet XAire's protests and gave Moises Sugoi a yellow card for diving instead. Nestor Garaile was shown his second yellow card after 97 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. 97 minutes into the game, one of Internet XAire:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Despite being the better team, Mexico failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
