Jimeno Nevada was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Edward Mcdonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, USA's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gavino Rami fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With his leg Marco Day managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Club Atlético Magallanes's Gavino Rami fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Monty Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavino Rami who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Marco Day when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 45th match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Koby Fletcher to maneuver through the defense. After the first half USA were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cassius Byrne to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Magallanes's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Jimeno Nevada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gavino Rami in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Day saved USA from getting behind. Cassius Byrne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Jimeno Nevada made a huge save. After 59 minutes of play, USA's Monty Rogers made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jimeno Nevada was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 65th minute USA were awarded a corner. Cassius Byrne went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Cassius Byrne almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Atlético Magallanes's Jimeno Nevada did a great save. Jimeno Nevada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 66th minute of play. After some careless play in the Club Atlético Magallanes defense, Cassius Byrne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jimeno Nevada. The Club Atlético Magallanes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jimeno Nevada should have stopped the shot. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavino Rami in the 74th minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, Gavino Rami was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Magallanes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave USA the free kick. After 78 played minutes Club Atlético Magallanes got a freekick which was hit by Gavino Rami. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. In the 79th minute, Gavino Rami hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. USA's Sam Campbell got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gavino Rami fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. Club Atlético Magallanes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Khalid Parry scored to the left of an out of position Jimeno Nevada, making the score, 0-5. USA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
