Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Axel Tasis took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 6 played minutes Gortaty got a freekick which was hit by Cezary Mosiniak. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute, Lautaro Puig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gortaty's Karol Kopacz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 12th minute of play. In the 13thth minute of the game Axel Tasis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gortaty's Karol Kopacz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Cezary Mosiniak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Cezary Mosiniak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karol Kopacz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 29th minute of the match. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Wiktor Pionek sent off a good shot on target. In the 37th minute, Cezary Mosiniak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Gortaty booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 45th minute of play forced Gortaty's goalkeeper Karol Kopacz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After the first half Costa Rica were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cezary Mosiniak to make the kick off. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cezary Mosiniak went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 92 played minutes, Costa Rica's Abel Carballo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Karol Kopacz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Costa Rica reached it. In the 95th match minute, Gortaty was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Kasiewski to maneuver through the defense. Despite being the better team, Gortaty failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
