After a rather tough play, Gunners FC's Jan-Åke Pålsson got a free kick in the 21st minute. When Club Atletico Magaiba's Jonatan Brion in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Gunners FC's Emanuel Britz got a free kick in the 41st minute. If Jonatan Brion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 44 minutes, Haroldo Lidon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Magaiba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haroldo Lidon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Haroldo Lidon to make the kick off.
