When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joaquim Paredes made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Påk in the 52nd minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augustin Panaiteanu made a great header on Gremio Viana's corner, it was just that Colombia's Pedro Manzanares managed to reach the ball for a save. It was a well-played corner which Pascual Carballar managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand.
