Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when George Lucas sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers George Lucas in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. The audience was convinced that George Lucas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. In the 22nd minute of the match αѕαɗо γ ςαвεʀηετ got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. David Antunes ran over to the corner to take the kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but George Lucas advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-1 in the 22nd minute. Daniël Isla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 29th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniël Isla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteve Lando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Esteve Lando left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The αѕαɗо γ ςαвεʀηετ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in αѕαɗо γ ςαвεʀηετ's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniël Isla came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for George Lucas to strike the kick off in the second half. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Rodriguinho Moraes hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lorenzo Cazalla got a free kick in the 60th minute.
