Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Azam Chew made the kick off which started today's match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Manchester United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Manchester United's Ali Artuner did a great save. Alam Lee hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After having played for 29 minutes, Azam Chew managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Azam Chew was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Daniz Keng stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Daniz Keng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Felix Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Ali Artuner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Klement Penkalski hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Artuner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ali Artuner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 42nd minute of play. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bryan Ramachandran in the 46th minute of the match.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Daniz Keng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Ali Artuner made a huge save. In the 64th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Manchester United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Felix Montes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Manchester United's Ali Artuner did a great save. Ali Artuner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 66th minute. Alam Lee charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alam Lee the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rd minute, Alam Lee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Azam Chew in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Ali Artuner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 78th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ali Artuner. Manchester United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ali Artuner made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Azam Chew in the 84th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bryan Ramachandran, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Azam Chew notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Bryan Ramachandran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
