Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raúl Moreno in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Zorita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 9 minutes, Desiderio Aballe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A.Franzoi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Desiderio Aballe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wladyslaw Rojewski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, C.A.Franzoi's goal looked a bit too open when Moises Fernandino came free, but Wladyslaw Rojewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moises Fernandino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abram Luque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Wladyslaw Rojewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Rubio to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Abram Luque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

With a little luck, C.A.Franzoi's Wladyslaw Rojewski got control of the ball when Moises Fernandino tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 53rd minute Raúl Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute, Desiderio Aballe made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Marco Tamayo kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. When Joaquin Tavio came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the C.A.Franzoi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquin Tavio couldn't finish the play. The supporters of C.A.Franzoi booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 69 played minutes, C.A.Franzoi's Ovidio Ignatius shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C.A.Franzoi reached it. After having played for 72 minutes, Abram Luque managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Raúl Moreno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Zorita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in El Salvador's zone, Raúl Moreno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal and Raúl Moreno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Desiderio Aballe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. C.A.Franzoi had played much better football throughout.
