Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los up up. In the 17th minute Sabahattin Hanönü shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zäfär Güläliyev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Abeitia in the 35th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Los up up's Sabahattin Hanönü slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dante Lacasa. That made the score 1-1 after 36 minutes of play. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Zäfär Güläliyev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sabahattin Hanönü, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The audience was convinced that Cahya Tomagola's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. 59 minutes into the game, Facundo Cadaval recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zäfär Güläliyev. Facundo Cadaval showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Zäfär Güläliyev was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Lautaro Mancebo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lautaro Mancebo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. In the 69th minute Rigoberto Abeitia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Sabahattin Hanönü left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los up up fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. After having played for 76 minutes, Facundo Cadaval managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Facundo Cadaval was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cahya Tomagola in the 78th minute of play. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sabahattin Hanönü was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Joel Gaona scored 3-4 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zäfär Güläliyev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mexico's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
